This part of the Yorkshire Dales around Malham Cove is a powerful landscape and has always inspired artists. Some have prettified the scene; some have photographed it and many portray it to fine effect. I aimed for moody, dramatic and wild. During my walk there the skies were sombre and grey and I could imagine the wind howling through the valley and over the top and could feel exhilaration yet also potential danger. My painting is large as the place itself is vast and imposing and I hope I have done it some justice.
If you are interested in any of my paintings and would like to discuss possible exhibitions or commissions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
